1963 Tambo Machay Peru This site was a sort of hunting lodge for Inca Yupanqui. The house itself was a shrine and according to chronicler Padre Bernabe Cobo all kinds of sacrifices were made there apart from children. Here a Quechua girl is washing her feet in the icy cold running water.

Camera: MPP Microflex Twin Lens Reflex with f 3.5 77.5mm Taylor Taylor Hobson lens. Film Kodak Verichrome Pan at F8 - 1/125 second. Developed by hand in Cusco, using Kodak Microdol at normal dilution.
