Unique photographs on silver from the 1950s and 1960s

1960 December - India. Aundh, Maharashtra state. After almost two months in the village I had made good friends and tried a few 'portraits'. This picture taken close to the home of the blacksmith is without a name. In 1961 it became the image for the 'General Report' prepared by our University Expedition team as we felt it conveyed the depth of the exceptional bond we had forged.

Camera MPP Microflex Twin Lens Reflex with F3.5 77.5mm Taylor Taylor Hobson lens. Film Kodak Verichrome Pan at F4 - 1/125 second. Developed by hand in Aundh using May and Baker Promicrol at normal dilution with water from the village well.
