1955 ENGLAND The Horner Water is one of the romantic streams flowing from the Doone country of Exmoor in Somerset. The story of the Doones is based on fact and told in the novel Lorna Doone by Richard Blackmore. In the 1950s this was still a quiet secluded place.

Camera: A West German Baldix 77.5mm F4.5 Westar three element lens, Prontor S shutter. Film Ilford FP3 1/125 second at F5.6. Developed by hand using Kodak Microdol at normal dilution.
